What are your rights?

As the lawful owner of your data, you can exercise your right of:

How long will we keep your data?

We will keep your data throughout our contractual relationship with you and afterwards to comply with our legal obligations.

What purposes will we use your data for?

Once you give us your consent, we can:

  • Process your data for commercial purposes to offer you products by the Banco Sabadell group and third parties of interest to you, even when you are no longer a customer, as well as pass your data on to companies within the Banco Sabadell group. All this, when such processing cannot be justified on the basis of legitimate interest.
  • Carry out a risk assessment in order to provide you with a personalised choice of specific products or services, unrequested and using databases external to the bank, when such processing cannot be justified on the basis of legitimate interest.
  • Process your biometric data when they are required to manage and verify consent related to your contract or operations.
  • Record our telephone calls for reasons of security and to improve the quality of our service.
  • Check the information provided via the data held by the General Treasury of Social Security, complying with the bank’s legal obligations related to the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
  • You can withdraw your permission for us to use your data at any time.

Moreover, in compliance with our legal obligations, as well as to fulfil and carry out the contracts you have taken out with us, Banco Sabadell may:

  • Manage and carry out the contract’s execution and operations.
  • Process data to comply with legislation regarding the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
  • Process data related to the compliance of monetary obligations.
  • Process orders to transfer funds.
  • Monitor our branches by video for security reasons.

In addition to the above, and based on the legitimate interest of Banco Sabadell when this is applicable, we can:

  • Process your data for commercial purposes and carry out a risk assessment according to the stated purposes when consent is not required.
  • Pass on your personal data between the bank and other companies within its group, subsidiaries and holdings in order to prevent fraud.
  • Process data that have been rendered anonymous or have undergone pseudonymisation.
  • Check and/or add to your personal data.
